Janace Griffin AKA JunkDredz

Janace L. Griffin was born and raised in Jacksonville  Camp Lejeune , NC where she graduated from Jacksonville High School in 2006. While Janace always had a heart for fashion and art, she went on to obtain her bachelors in Psychology from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with the honor of Cum Laude on a full ride scholarship from the Air Force R.O.T.C program there believing that her art was simply not good enough to afford her the life she wanted of comfort and stability. Janace went on to also achieve her masters in Family & Marriage Counseling as well as commissioned into the United States Air Force then stationed at the 742 Missile Squadron in Minot, North Dakota as a Nuclear Weapons Officer. After completing her commitment, she decided to finally utilize her education to serve her community in the mental health, behavioral health and Crisis Management profession which she enjoyed greatly. Janace bore her son Nike during the pandemic of 2020 and after decade of serving as a counselor, psychologist, therapist, case manager, she finally obtained the honor and privilege of being an entrepreneur and living the life of her dreams as an Artist, Creative Director, Fashion Designer, Multi-Published Author, Activist, Mommy and Wife while also relocating to El Paso, Texas after the untimely passing of her father James L. Walker due to the contamination of the water located at Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base where he served for 20 years before his retirement in 1999. Janace founded the El Paso Black Arts Association September 18th, 2023, in an effort to assist African American Artist residing in El Paso Texas regardless of medium to be exemplified, showcased, supported and celebrated for their talents, skills and efforts in the art culture and community.
