Denise Nelson

 With a diverse professional background spanning multiple industries, Destiny  brings a wealth of passion to the El Paso Black Arts Association as well as her commumity. Her journey includes roles as a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, a medical receptionist, senior advisor in marketing, and businesswoman, demonstrating my adaptability and broad skill set. She curretnly holds a BS in Biological Sciences with a focus in Biomedical Sciences from UTEP, where she was a former cheerleader and president of multiple organizations. As the owner of Journey with Mocha, she combines her entrepreneurial spirit with a commitment to excellence. As a dedicated advocate for Black artists and businesses, she actively contributes to events and initiatives that uplift our community. This fall, Destiny will be attending medical school in the Caribbean to pursue a career in surgery, her passion for people and commitment to supporting Black excellence are central to her involvement, making her a proud and vibrant member of this illustrious organization.
