Courtney Holmes

Courtney Holmes was born in a small town called Smithfield, North Carolina, it was here that she fell in love with being of assistance in the community as well as learned the importance of family. When she was eleven years old, her step father joined the military allowing her the opportunity to travel many different places encouraging her respect and appreciation for diversity.  She strives to advocate for families, mental health, and likes to consider herself a healer. Courtney’s love for reading and writing has led her into the journey of writing poetry as well as her first book Called “Contusions of The Heart” captivating love, heartbreak, and growth through it all. Courtney is a poet, a mother of 3 beautiful children, and a full time worker with the ambitions and drive to not change the world but love and cherish the people in it.
